The best decision my husband and I made when finishing our lower level is the addition of a mudroom! With a family of 5 (and hopefully soon 1 more) we have a lot of Shoes and Jackets! With Fall comes the kids activities and school school bags. When it is winter forget about it! Boots, hats, gloves in addition. It is such a relief to have an entry area where it all falls.
